Can Dogs Eat Rib Bones ?

The above question is so straightforward. The long and short of it is that yes dogs can eat rib bones. In fact dogs are designed to be flesh eaters. So perhaps the question could be raising a concern about the safety concerns that come with eating rib bones. Can dogs eat rib bones? Yes they can. But the consumption of these ribs should perhaps be regulated by the age of the dog. Age being relative here. The moment that your dog begins developing teeth, then perhaps it time that you begun feeding him on ribs. Piecemeal pieces first to ensure that no teeth are broken, and then when Fido is off age, let him all the rib bones in the world.

One Response to Bones

I just read that you should not feed your dog rib bones, but I feel like you. They are meat eaters. If they were out in the wild, they would be surviving on what they kill. What they kill will have bones. Also, doesn’t chewing on bones help clean their teeth helping them stay healthy? Thank you
